Our friendly weekend fixtures for 2017 commenced with an away game against Severalls, Colchester on Sunday 7th May. On a very pleasant afternoon we played five triples rinks and enjoyed a superb tea with our hosts after the game. Bocking Alliance Bowls Club were victorious by 108 shots to 72.

As always, a most enjoyable game at Severalls followed by a superb tea. We must commend the work of the members of that small club, existing without electricity and recently losing much of their car park to local housing development.
On Saturday 20th May we played four mixed triples rinks at Stock. The fixture clashed with our ladies’ Top Club competition which meant we had to reduce the fixture from five rinks to four. The scores were very close on all rinks, being 14-12, 16-14, 11-14, and 17-16, giving us an overall win by just two shots.
